How to play Emoji Song Quiz
Emoji Song Quiz is the music quiz where you don't listen to the songs, you decode them. A string of emoji appears on screen, hiding the title of a famous song. For example 👏👏🪨 is We Will Rock You and 🐢🐢🎶 is Despacito (“slowly”). Teams puzzle it out, hum a few bars to check and shout the answer. Guess both the title and the artist to score 2 points. It's a perfect game for parties and dinners with friends of every age, because it mixes classic rock, pop anthems and modern chart-toppers.
Step-by-step rules
- Create your teams in the “Your teams” panel and pick the songs: modern hits, classics or all of them.
- The emoji puzzle appears. If you want a time limit, press “Start timer”: 30 seconds to answer.
- Teams answer out loud: the first complete answer counts.
- The host awards points: +2 if the team gets both title and artist, +1 if they only get one.
- If nobody gets it, the “Hint” shows the release year. “Show the answer” reveals the title and artist.
- “Next song” moves on to the next puzzle. At the end of the night, press “End game” for the leaderboard.

Tips for cracking the puzzles
- Read the emoji out loud: the title is often a phrase you can translate word by word.
- Look for colours and numbers: 💜, 💛 or 1️⃣ are very direct clues.
- Hum it: once you have an idea, try the chorus to see if it fits the emoji.
- Use hints wisely: you can agree that a song is only worth 1 point after the hint.
